Clarity records is disappointed to announce that we will not be doing our traditional midnight opening for Record Store Day on April 18, 2026.

This year would have been our 14th consecutive year trading from midnight, however the rules and regulations set by Record Store Day no longer allows us to do this.

But don’t worry, we are still participating in RSD 2026!

Opening from midnight meant that we could make the store accessible over an 18-hour period, to manage the line the best we could, while also providing quieter times for anyone with mobility or sensory difficulties. We will certainly miss our 3am regulars.

We are sorry to anyone who was looking forward to the tradition this year.

We are still finalising plans for RSD 2026, with more positive special announcements coming soon. 8am is the time we are allowed to open from and you are welcome to line up from any time.

You can still expect a huge amount of RSD stock and an incredible collection of secondhand goodies.

We look forward to seeing you on April 18 for Record Store Day.
