What are your opening hours?

I have been chasing a certain product and I can’t get it anywhere. Can you order it in for me?
Yes, we can. We specialise in doing specialty orders for people. We will go the extra distance to try and track something down for you. We have a huge catalogue of products we can order from and many suppliers all around the world. Feel free to contact us, or come into the store if there is anything you are after. Providing it is still in print we can get it for you.

Do you sell Gift Certificates?
Yes we do. We only have physical gift certificates. Therefore these can be purchased in store for any amount. If you can't make it to the store then we can arrange payment over the phone or PayPal and we can arrange postage or we can leave it at the counter for someone to collect. There is no expiry on our Gift Certificates. At this current point in time we do not offer digital Gift Certificates.

Is everything that is listed on the webstore in the physical store as well? 
We recently updated our system to show that everything listed on the online store is also in our physical store. The only products we haven't added to the online store at the moment are CDs and Turntables.

Are the prices the same on the webstore to the physical store? 
They are not. There will be some slight differences at times. This can be caused from wholesale prices and currency fluctuations. The physical store works on round figures.

I am a solo artist/in a band from Adelaide, will Clarity Records stock our release?
Yes, we will. We do all local artists a consignment deal of 33% off the RRP. Therefore, the artist sets the price they would like to sell the release for, and the store takes 33% once the item has sold. Alternatively, you tell us the wholesale price and we will put our mark up on that. Get in contact with us via the contact page if you would like to let us know about your release, or simply come into the store with 3 copies and we will take it from there.

I am a solo artist / in a band from interstate / overseas, will Clarity Records stock our release?
Similar deal to what we do with all Adelaide artists, we are especially interested if your band is coming to Adelaide. However if you or your band has never been to Adelaide, don't have much of a profile in Adelaide, or if you have no intention of coming to Adelaide/touring, then we suggest you get in contact with us first before sending over anything. If this is the case, then I would say we wouldn’t be interested for the time being.

Can I purchase online and pick up in store? 
Yes you can. We are located in the Adelaide CBD. This will save you money on postage. Simply choose the store pick up option in the checkout procedure and we will make your purchased product available to pick up during our stores business hours.

Are there any positions available at Clarity Records?
Unfortunately no. Clarity Records is a small business that can not afford to take on any extra staff.

Does Clarity Records do work experience?
Due to the size of the shop, counter space and the work load, Clarity Records unfortunately can not offer work experience.

I am involved with something that I believe would suit your shop (eg. Zine, Book, Art, Craft, Jewellery, etc, etc), will you stock our product?
Possibly. Contact us. Anything arts, crafts or jewellery related please attention the email to Laura.

You guys are just a punk shop, right?
We specialise in Punk and Hardcore related products, however we stock all kinds of music from Metal, indie, Rock ‘N Roll, Blues, Jazz, Prog, Soul, Funk and more. We also have band merch, books, zines, handmade arts & craft and more. We have both new and secondhand products.

Do you have Vinyl?
Vinyl is our main seller, therefore we make sure we are always well stocked and always up to date with new releases. We are also always restocking our secondhand vinyl section.

Do you buy secondhand Vinyl & CDs?
We do buy secondhand vinyl and we are very interested to know what you have. We buy collections in bulk, there's no collection too big or too small and how much we pay varies from title to title. At the moment we are not buying CDs unless they are Metal CDs.

I’ve noticed Clarity does instore shows. Can my band do one or can I organise something?
Possibly. We are open to the idea of having more instores. Contact us and we can discuss it

Who owns Clarity Records?
Matt & Laura Horvath are the owners of Clarity Records. Come in and say Hi.

Clarity Records is a record label, right? Will you be interested in releasing my bands record?
Clarity Records is a record label as well as a shop. Feel free to send us your demo, however we are very selective with what we will release and only release Adelaide music.

So where abouts exactly are you?
On Pulteney Street. We are right next to the Hungry Jacks that's on the corner of Rundle Street.

What is your returns policy?
Our returns policy is clearly displayed in store:
Clarity Records does not refund on any products unless the item is faulty.
If an item is faulty we will gladly refund or exchange once the item is tested and the fault is identified.
Clarity Records will be happy to exchange any product if an incorrect item is purchased. For example, incorrect t-shirt sizes, gifts where the person already has the item, an incorrect album title, etc. Please note that the item must be returned in new condition, as it was purchased. For example, new vinyl seals cannot be opened, t-shirts cannot be washed, discs must not have any scratches and secondhand vinyl cannot have additional wear.
Upon returning the item Clarity Records will gladly exchange it for anything in the shop, or for a gift certificate to be used at a later date.
Refunds WILL NOT be accepted for incorrect purchases.
